Water Shut Off Notices
The Township has reserved the right in the Water and Sewer Ordinance to shut off water service for non-payment of water or sewer rates and charges.  The Township will begin sending shut-off notices in November 2011 for the October bills that are past due.  The shut off notices will give the resident 30 days to pay the past due amount or have their water shut off at the stop box location.  A door hanger will be placed after the 30 day notice giving the resident a few more days to pay with a final pay date or be shut off.  If not paid, a $50 cost recovery fee will be assessed on the account and the water will be shut off.  Restoration of water service will only occur during normal Byron-Gaines Utility Authority business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
